Time for my first review!

So since the colours i got in my starter kit werent really to my taste the first thing i did was run my short little legs over to boots to get myself a staple colour in my life, black.

The brand they have is sensationail, i think each bottle costs £15, please remember you need to have a LED lamp for these to work!

inside the box you get; the bottle of polish, a manicure stick and an instruction sheet.

The colour concentration in the black was fine it needed two coats but it was incredibly shiny!
It didn't last two full weeks, i'd say i got about a week out of it, but again, my hands are used all day every day , in and out of water all the time. For me that is the longest nail varnish has ever lasted!
Definitely impressed!

Christmas

I know I know i'm way (2 months) behind!
The only thing i asked for this christmas was a gel nails kit. I'm a full time hairdresser, therefore my hands are tools and any normal nail varnish chips within the first few hours.
I've always been jealous of people who can paint their nails all these beautiful colours and keep them looking so lovely for days!

My amazing mum and dad got me the 14 day manicure starter kit for my christmas, it looks a little like this

It came with the lamp itself, a 6 or 7 (i forget) sided nail file, a 150ml bottle of nail varnish remover, a 150ml bottle of nail cleanser, an adapter plug for american/uk plugs, a top and base coat, 4 different colour polishes and 4 bulbs.
It was very easy to set up you just need to slot the bulbs in and plug the uk adapter in and away you go!!

I'm going to admit i know nothing about painting my nails with gel varnishes so this is a learning experience for me. It has a timer setting which is for 2 minutes, i've just been using that, i don't know if thats too long or not.

The colours it came with aren't exactly to my taste, they are all quite translucent/shimmery. I much prefer the more opaque effect.
